Responsibilities
The Grants Manager is responsible for managing a large grants program, from solicitation to closeout, with multiple local grantees. S/he will maintain financial management files for grants, ensure the audit trail for all necessary grant documentation, ensure timely financial disbursements and compliance with grants financial management policies, monitor all grant expenses, and provide regular updates on grant status.
The Grants Manager will also provide grantee training, grants backstopping and oversight, build the capacity of grantees and will contribute to the development of grants-related deliverables.
S/he should have at least 10 years of relevant work experience in finance and grants management within the USAID context and experience working with international non-profit organizations (INGOs), preferably with overseas offices in Tanzania. Proficiency in English is required.
