JOB PURPOSE
•Primarily responsible for managing the credit risk associated with and ensuring high quality of the assigned portfolio.
•Closely work with the Relationship Manager (RM) and / or Segment Head from origination and play a vital role in deal structuring to add value from a credit/policy/regulatory compliance perspective.
•Work with the RM on a specified portfolio and facilitate revenue growth in the portfolio.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Interact with the client, gather deal requirements, financial statements and other inputs for performing quality analysis and due diligence.
•Work with RM/product partners in structuring credit solutions for the clients and ensuring the appropriateness of these products.
•Work with the RM, in a) obtaining all pre clearances such as pre-screening, negative Economic Revenue (ER), segmentation, etc. b) preparing and presenting work-shopping note and c) follow up to expedite approvals.
•Responsible for end-to-end BCA process including preparing all the tools including Raptor, Credit Risk Grade Scorecard, E&S Risk Assessments, etc, in-depth analysis of various risks, quality presentation and ensuring speedy credit / board approval.
•Ensure compliance with all internal and regulatory credit/other portfolio related policies e.g. preparing the Country Portfolio Standards checklist, other special reporting requirements, etc. •Coordinate and prepare for Credit / Group Credit Committee (GCC) meetings
•Liaise with GAM and GAM Credit for limit allocations and / or approval.
•Release the trade offerings in IMEX, after obtaining the necessary approvals.
•Seek necessary approvals and reporting for excesses in the account.
POST DEAL ACCOUNT MONITORING
•Monitor quality of the portfolio by tracking Excess/past dues and QPRs, strictly complying with ASTAR, Early Alert (EA)/ Credit Issues Committee (CIC) and local regulatory processes.
•Ensure timely submission of quality Periodic Credit Reports
•Monitor Risk Triggers, Covenants and other credit conditions and report appropriately
•Ensure Zero BCA over dues and needless extensions by commencing reviews at least 90 days before due date.
•Liaise with Credit on BCA and other credit issues and ensure quick turnaround on queries.
•Proper maintenance of Credit files and ensuring Audit Ready at any time
•Attend EA/Portfolio call/MTM calls as necessary along with the RMs
•In partnership with the RM, ensure timely identification of accounts exhibiting characteristic weaknesses for escalation through the EA as per the bank’s policies and guidelines
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare timely Stress Tests wherever required
•Prepare specific industry study
•Prepare Credit Opinion reports wherever required.
•Effective use of Creditmate & One Workbench
•Take personal responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance (i.e. conduct) requirements of their role. Understand and comply with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws and regulations, including those governing anti-money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions; the Group’s policies and procedures; and the Group Code of Conduct. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk and compliance matters
KEY MEASURABLES
•Effective structuring of deals along with the RM – no of structured deals handled successfully
•Completion of BCAs and obtaining Credit approvals on time to facilitate faster execution of transactions.
•Revenue from the portfolio
•No overdue BCA, QPRs, DDWs, etc.
•Efficient handling of Account Excesses, EA, minimal ASTAR,
•Responsive action that ensures minimal credit loss and / or provisions
•Satisfactory Audit, peer and other internal & external reviews
•Effective monitoring to avoid movement of account to GSAM without going through Credit Issues Committee as well as surprise downgrades
•Taking a personal responsibility and involvement in their learning and personal development with appropriate guidance of the line manager.
