Overview:
The
SEGA Girls School is situated at the foot of the Uluguru mountains in a
rural area of Tanzania near the town of Morogoro, 190 km west of Dar es
Salaam. Morogoro is one of Tanzania’s growing mid-sized towns with a
population of 240,000.
The SEGA Girls School offers a quality education to vulnerable girls who would otherwise be unable to access secondary education.
Girls who graduate from the SEGA Girls School will receive the School
Leavers Certificate, along with valuable life skills and practical
business training that will give them an opportunity to lift themselves
out of poverty.
Mission: To develop and run a quality, secondary boarding school for girls, including at least 50% highly vulnerable through scholarships, which fosters the development of strong values, healthy self-esteem, and independent thinking skills among its students; with emphases on leadership, social responsibility and environmental care.
