The Institute of Accountancy Arusha is a parastatal academic institution offering undergraduate and postgraduate training courses. It is established by the Institute of Accountancy Act No.1 of 1990 and is located at Njiro Hill, seven kilometers Southern- East of Arusha City. The Institute has secured employment permit from the President’s Office Public Service Management and Good Governance vide letter Ref. No.FA10/109/01/201 dated 22 June, 2018 baring a number of vacant posts and hence, it would like to attract potential and interested human resources from the market.

2.1 POSITION: ASSISTANT LECTURER – BANKING AND FINANCE (3 POSTS)
2.1.1 REPORTS TO: MAIN CAMPUS ARUSHA
2.1.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i) Teach up to NTA level 8
ii) Guide and supervise students in building up their practical and research projects
iii) Prepare learning resources and design training exercises for students.
iv) Conduct consultancy and community services
v) Develop and review existing curriculum
vi) Undertake individual research and participates in scientific/academic congregations.
vii) Prepare teaching manuals, simulations and case studies for training
viii) Coach junior teaching staff (Tutorial Assistants)
ix) Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
2.1.3 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Holders of post graduate and graduate degrees in Banking and Finance (at least 3.5 GPA for Master degree and 3.8 GPA for Bachelor degree) who is registered or eligible for registration by NACTE as a technical teacher. Proven applicable working experience preferably in teaching research/consultancy will be added advantage.

2.2 POSITION: ASSISTANT LECTURER –ECONOMICS (MONETARY AND INTERNATIONAL ECONOMICS) (1 POST)
2.2.2 REPORTS TO: MAIN CAMPUS ARUSHA
2.2.3 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i) Teach up to NTA level 8 ii) Guide and supervise students in building up their practical and research projects

Proven applicable working experience preferably in teaching research/consultancy will be added advantage.

2.3 POSITION: ASSISTANT LECTURER– BUSINESS LAW (1 POST)
2.3.1 REPORTS TO: MAIN CAMPUS ARUSHA

2.7.3 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor Degree in Banking and Finance or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institution with GPA of 3.8 or above, who is registered or eligible for registration by NACTE s a technical teacher.

2.8 POSITION: TUTORIAL ASSISTANT – INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (1 POST)

Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institution with GPA of 3.8 or above, who is registered or eligible for registration by NACTE s a technical teacher.

2.9 POSITION: LIBRARIAN II -(1 POST)
2.9.1 REPORTS TO: LIBRARY SERVICE MANAGER – MAIN CAMPUS
2.9.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i) To Assist in maintaining public and staff catalogues
ii) To assist in maintaining records of library materials loaned to users
iii) To shelf books, periodicals, journals and other library materials
iv) To maintain user profile
v) To collect information needs or udders
vi) To assist in identifying of library materials to be ordered
vii) To guide readers to find information
2.9.3 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor Degree in Library Studies or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institution.
2.9.4 REMUNERATION

2.10 POSITION: LIBRARY ASSISTANT II -(1 POST)
2.10.1 REPORTS TO: CAMPUS MANAGER – BABATI
2.10.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i) To display new books and other reading materials
ii) To upkeep back sets or newspapers and journals
iii) To prepare cuttings from newspapers of relevance to the Institute
iv) To handle simple inquiries from readers
v) To undertake bibliographical searching
2.10.3 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Certificate in Library Studies (NTA LEVEL 5) from a recognized University/Institution. Holding Diploma in Library Studies will be added advantage.
2.10.4 REMUNERATION
