POSITIONS OPENING: Monitoring Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Officer
T-MARC Tanzania is a non-profit Tanzanian organization working to improve public health and promote social development. Our socially marketed products and behaviour change communication initiatives address pertinent health issues in family planning and reproductive health, child survival, water and sanitation, nutrition and communicable/non-communicable infections like malaria, HIV/AIDS and cervical cancer.

T-MARC has received grant from Comic Relief for the project titled “Badilisha Tabia, Tokomeza Malaria (Change Behavior, Eradicate Malaria)” for two years. The Project The project will use a mix of SBCC approaches (IPC, Community Mobilization, Community Media etc.) to engage communities on malaria prevention and treatment towards positive health-seeking behaviours among pregnant women, lactating mothers and children under 5 in Shinyanga and Simiyu regions.

In line with the Malaria National Strategic Plan (MNSP) 2014-2020, the goal of this project is to contribute to the national goal of reducing the country’s malaria prevalence from 7.3% in 2017 to < 1% in 2020.

T-MARC invite the qualified applicants for the following below position

Position: Monitoring Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Officer – (1 post)
Reports to: Senior MER Manager
Location: Dar es Salaam

Broad Function:
The MEL Officer will closely work with the tower tier subgrantee. S/he provides technical support in the areas of data collection, analysis and reporting. The MEL Officer is also responsible to provide MEL technical assistance to partners and serve to facilitate MEL task coordination among project key partners.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor degree in statistics, social sciences, demography, public health, epidemiology or other related fields. Proven experience in database management and research and at least 2-year experience in MEL and quality assurance, quality improvement of social welfare development programs. The candidate should also be knowledgeable on different statistical packages such as SPSS and/or Stata.
